This Warranty Policy applies to all car batteries sold and installed by The Battery Shop Sdn Bhd (Company No. 893586-V), operating under the brand names "The Battery Shop" and "Carput". Warranty coverage is subject to the terms and conditions below.

Warranty coverage is based on duration or mileage from date of first purchase, whichever comes first.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
- Warranty starts from the date of first purchase, regardless of whether a warranty replacement has occurred.
- Coverage is based on duration or total mileage since first purchase, whichever comes first.
- Warranty replacements are only provided when the battery is deemed defective and unable to start the vehicle.
- The warranty does not cover discharge due to user negligence (e.g. leaving lights on, infrequent driving) or external factors (current leak, weak alternator). A RM30 diagnostic fee will apply in such cases.
- If the vehicle's alternator output is below 13.5V under full load, the warranty is suspended until the customer provides proof that the alternator has been repaired or replaced. Upon proof, warranty resumes from the original purchase date.
- The warranty is void if the product is found to be damaged due to negligence, abuse, misuse, accident, modification, tampering, or alteration.
- On-site warranty service is limited to covered areas and subject to technician availability. A RM30 service fee applies if the battery is found to be in working condition or not eligible for warranty upon on-site attendance.
- Warranty applies only to the first vehicle in which the battery was installed. Unauthorised removal voids the warranty. Customers wishing to transfer the battery to another vehicle must contact Carput first. Carput will arrange the transfer (free for walk-in; charges may apply for on-site).
- If a vehicle has not been started for 45 consecutive days or more, the battery's ability to hold charge will be severely affected. Warranty claims under this circumstance are subject to the manufacturer's discretion.
- Walk-in warranties are available during business hours (7AM–11:30PM). No charge applies for walk-in warranty assessments.
Warranty Claim Procedure
- Contact us at 1800-1800-10 or support@carput.my to initiate a warranty claim.
- Our technician will perform a diagnostic test using a battery tester to assess battery health.
- If the battery tests as unhealthy, it will be taken to our HQ for further testing. A temporary battery will be provided for your vehicle during this period.
- Advanced testing at our HQ takes 14–21 working days.
- If the battery is serviceable, it will be recharged and reinstalled in your vehicle at no charge.
- If the battery is deemed faulty, a replacement battery will be installed.
- Installation is free for walk-in; a RM30 delivery charge applies for on-site installation.
- You will be notified of the outcome via call or SMS. You must collect or arrange installation of the replacement battery within 21 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the warranty replacement.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia), the Sale of Goods Act 1957, or any other applicable Malaysian law. Where there is any inconsistency between this policy and applicable law, the law prevails.
