Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using any services provided by The Battery Shop Sdn Bhd (Company No. 893586-V), operating under the brand names "The Battery Shop" and "Carput" ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Quick Reference: We accept cash, credit card, GrabPay, Maybank QRpay, Touch 'n Go and Boost (subject to availability). Prices quoted include old battery trade-in discount. Delivery and installation is free for new battery replacements. A RM60 minimum charge applies if a technician attends but no replacement is required.
These Terms govern your rights and obligations in relation to The Battery Shop/Carput's website, mobile application (collectively the "Platform"), and all services including car battery replacement, jumpstart, flat tyre assistance, towing, and petrol refill ("Services").
For our own Services, we use our own technicians. For towing, we connect customers with independent third-party tow truck operators ("Outsourced Services") — we are not the service provider for Outsourced Services.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform and/or Services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services if you breach any part of these Terms or any applicable law.
Indicative pricing: All prices on our Platform are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are indicative. Final pricing may vary based on location, distance, time of service, and other factors. Our technician will confirm the final price and obtain your agreement before commencing work.
Estimated arrival times: All estimated arrival times are indicative only and are not binding commitments. Actual arrival times depend on traffic conditions, distance, road conditions, and other factors beyond our control.
Payment methods: Cash, bank transfer, or credit card upon completion of service. For Outsourced Services, payment is made directly to the tow truck operator.
Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes in addition to the service price.
No refunds: Services are non-refundable except where you can demonstrate you have been incorrectly billed, or under other circumstances at our sole discretion.
Minimum service charge: If our technician attends your location but is unable to complete the service due to circumstances beyond their control (e.g. battery is beyond jumpstart and no replacement is requested, spare tyre is flat), a minimum charge of RM60 applies.
Vouchers and promotions: Vouchers are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Promotional pricing is at our discretion and may not apply to all customers.
All content on our Platform including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and other materials are owned by or licensed to The Battery Shop Sdn Bhd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use our Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only. All other rights are reserved.
Our Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties that access will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
We warrant that our Services will be performed to generally accepted industry standards. No specific outcome is guaranteed.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or negligence of any Tow Truck Operator providing Outsourced Services. We make no warranties regarding the quality or safety of Outsourced Services.
If the product you ordered is out of stock, we may offer an alternative product of equivalent or better quality, which will be confirmed with you before installation.
Except for liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury), we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, not caused by our breach, or are indirect or consequential in nature.
Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to a maximum of RM300.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, system outages, or government actions.
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites. Your access to and use of any linked site is at your own risk.
We may display third-party advertisements on our Platform. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of such advertisements.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
